about me
I’m Taylor — a self-taught artist and creator from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
For the last decade, I’ve been a marketing & branding strategist for hospitality and high-end interior design brands — a passionate champion for the power of aesthetics, and outstanding visual communication.

In late 2018, after searching for a non-tech off-the-clock creative outlet, I discovered a newfound love and knack for painting.
The many years I’ve spent honing my photography and graphic design skills have helped instill a keen appreciation for color theory and composition, which I value first and foremost in my artwork.
about my ART
My goal is to make compelling, thoughtful pieces that bring happiness and sensory experiences to people and spaces of all kinds.
My work tends to feature big textures and vibrant colors inspired by the wonders of nature and the small yet satisfying moments of everyday life. (ASMR paint mixing videos, anyone?)
I toggle between acrylic and oil paints depending on the technique and style of each piece.
Most recently, oceans, landscapes, florals, beachscapes, and skies have been my go-to sources of reference & inspiration. I love taking great photographs to capture a moment, and then reinterpret the image through thick applications of paint with palette knives or brushes for an impasto impressionist feel. I dabble in plein air painting when the weather cooperates!
My ultra-thick works using acrylic and modeling paste are fully abstract, using color and texture to communicate a feeling and atmosphere versus a literal re-imagination of a photo.
Oil works are incredibly layered and detailed, often incorporating smaller and subtler thick strokes of paint on top of heavily blended layers — driving the viewer’s eye very intentionally through each piece.
Though my work does tend to be more abstract, I’ve been experimenting with a new series of ocean / water paintings that lean towards realism and capture the feel, depth and flow of the sea.
