size / place
First - we’ll need to decide the size of the piece — and ideally, where you plan to place it.
If you aren’t sure on the best size or where it should go, I’m happy to help you figure it out!
I love to see pictures or even visit a space (if local/possible).
INSPIRATION
Next, we’ll need to decide how the piece will come together — what medium, paint style, colors and inspiration will drive the piece. A few things to think about:
Favorite works of mine? Browse my site or Instagram account and send me links or screenshots of my past work. The more, the merrier! This will give me an idea of the styles you like.
What color combinations are most appealing to you? Do you like them more bold or more muted?
Do you want it to be abstract, or more realistic looking?
Lots of texture, or more blended?
What colors will be around it? What’s the light like in the room? (This is where the photos of your space will come in handy!)
I can also work off of inspiration / reference images.
For example — if you want to capture the color palette that’s driving the design of your home (Pinterest boards, welcome!) — or, maybe you want an abstract interpretation of your favorite beach and have photos you can share — we can discuss the best way to make that happen!
Check out the Paint Styles page to get a better understanding of the different mediums and techniques I use.
COLORS & MOCK UPS
After we talk out the above — I’ll start creating some sample color palettes for your sign off, and then mock up a rough draft of your piece in miniature form so we can be on the same page about the composition and overall feel.
For something abstract, I’ll do my best to keep the final piece very similar to what I mock up, especially from a color standpoint.
I’ll keep you in the loop throughout the creation process to make sure you’re entirely in love with what I create for you!
pricing
Once we determine the size, medium and style of painting you’re looking for, then I can provide you with a quote for your review & approval.
I require a 50% deposit upfront. The remainder will be due at the time the painting is completed.
